  • A book you will always Remember

If I had to describe this book in one word it will be... sublime. I remember reading this book for one of my English classes. It is a collection of short stories with some of the most eye opening subjects regarding the life at an Indian Reservation. The Short Story "This is what it means to say Phoenix Arizona" I walks remember it dearly. I recommend this book.

  • Lone Ranger and Tonto in Heaven

The movie 'Smoke Signals' is based on the book. The movie is very endearing. We loved the movie partly because of the area in which it takes place! My home town is mentioned & many other places that I knew as a child & we traveled to in recent yrs. Also I am intriqued by native American stories. Some of it is sad, some funny & some just sort of talking about the daily things that happened. I would love more stories about Native Americans in Washington state.

  • smoke signals, the movie, is based on this. highly recommended. every native kid i ever met has seen that movie. the stories are compeling/movinggg
