    There is no better cookbook from Texas.....

    This book is being given as a Christmas gift to a friend. I personally own several and they are tattered, stained and written in because they have been so enjoyed. Miss Corbitt blazed new trails in the food industry as the keeper of the Zodiac Room in the flagship Neiman Marcus. I was fortunate enough to attend some of her cooking classes. Absolutely a great book and this one was in very good condition.

    Classic cookbook by a caterer, chef, food director.

    This is a classic cookbook from the 1970's but includes many traditional recipes. It is not for a beginning cook but rather those who wish to expand their skills and are interested in learning about real food. Miss Corbitt was a very well known caterer, and director of food sevices at the Houston Texas Country Club, the Driscoll Hotel in Austin, and for Neiman Marcus. The recipes would be considered old fashioned by many, but are well worth learning for entertaining, holidays, or just really great "comfort food".

    Cookbook on Ebay

    So glad I found this unique cookbook......many of my Dallas friends have copies that belonged to their mothers......since I was raised in the north, my mother did not know about Helen and her book.....now I have my own copy! It was just as described and arrived very quickly!!

    Great cookbook

    Simple, easy to use cookbook…the recipes all have ingredients you can easily find at the grocery or in your pantry…while it was written in 1957, it is a very helpful book for me and my husband
