At harvest, corn is twelve to twenty cents an ear. We buy up dozens and use this fine tool to "harvest" the kernels to freeze in sealed bags. Have one from 25 years ago, and desired several as gifts, and spares in my kitchen. Used to have 2 of these some years ago and they were good but like everything prices go up and quality goes down. It's flimsy and it's a struggle to use. Took me less time and had less waste using a knife.
