    Italian the Easy Way

    This book was required for my class. The text of the book is very good and covers a helpful amount of the Italian language. Certainly enough to get by when visiting Italy. However, many of the tables of vocabulary are laid out on page in an inconvenient way, making translations of Italian to English cumbersome.(example page #47) There are enough errors and inconsistencies to make the learning process more difficult. About a third of the class and the teacher complained that you almost have to second guess (or ask the teacher) to clarify the difference between errors or difficulty. Ideally, a person should be able to self teach from a book like this with full confidence.

    there are better Italian books. I know since I've read them.

    this book was as described as beginning Italian book. but i felt it was kind of awkward to use. not as clear and simple as a beginning book should be. it did help me in my coursework but not as much as other books i had.
