Visiting A City From The Past
With Philadelphia as my birthplace, I have an interest in its past. This book provided me with hours of traveling back through time and visiting an era I was never a part of. Dozens of photographs from the 18 & 1900's have captured what Philly was like during the rough days of the city's growth. Incredible scenes of famous buildings, places of work, and everyday homes take you on a personal trip into the very streets of a town over-flowing with life. Though many of these structures no longer exist, the pictures mixed with a little imagination can put you behind the lens of the photographers and give you the feeling that even time cannot erase the pride with which these great buildings were constructed.With Philadelphia as my birthplace, I have an interest in its past.
