Good new Fiskars blade. As described. Be prepared to modify shape and drill 3 new holes if you have an older handle pole. Use old blade for pattern. Dremel tool with cut-off wheel will work. Use new titanium bits and good center punch.

Pole Saw Blade Does The Job
I purchased this pole saw at Home Depot thinking that replacement blades would be readily available at any one of their stores, WRONG! I have stopped at several Home Depots only to find this item not in stock. Fiskars is an established reliable known for cutting applications. I went to ebay for a huge selection of saw blades from several retailers at prices less than what I would pay at any hardware retailer. This is my 2nd pole saw that I have purchased blades for & they always had the Fiskars logo. Nothing cuts like a new bladeI purchased this pole saw at Home Depot thinking that replacement blades would be readily available at any one of their stores, WRONG! Took an hour to cut a single 4" branch
If cutting a hardwood tree like oak and the branches are over 3" thick this is not the blade to use. It will be fine for softwoods and small branches of any type of tree. When the saw blade has lots of wood in contact, there must be greater force - using a rocking motion and changing the angle of the cut will help. I have used many saw blades and have done this sort of thing professionally to say this is inadequate for certain trees such as oak which is what I need to be using it for.If cutting a hardwood tree like oak and the branches are over 3" thick this is not the blade to use. Works like a champ.
I bought this taking a chance that it would fit an older pruner with the Better Homes & Gardens label on it. The bolt hole location and stop looked to be about the same and also the curve on the back of the blade. Eureka! It fit like a glove. This is a very aggressive blade that works very well. Remove the nut and washer holding the old blade and tap the bolt out far enough to lift the bolt hole over the bolt and then slide the blade forward to remove it from the rectangular cutout. Replace blade in reverse and go cut limbs. Be careful - this sucker is SHARP.I bought this taking a chance that it would fit an older pruner with the Better Homes & Gardens label on it.
