    Truth be told

The narrative is accurate. It's a tragic time of history when all Native Americans were forced off their land, to Walk The Trail of Tears where thousands died or were slaughtered.

  • The Trail of Tears

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Honest and True. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a history buff or just wants to hear/read the true story of what the United States did to the Native American people. This is a book that I had heard about but didn't really know if I would like it, well I do and I will read it over an over, I'm sure there are some points that I have forgotten or just didn't get the first time around. I will be passing this book to the younger ones in my family to read also. It shows the real story not the one-sided one that I was told when I went to school. Highly recommend this book.

  • no happy ending

  • As a descendant of The Ridge, I especially appreciate the accurate and enlightening background on the Cherokee Nation.
