Asked the seller if it took batteries, they responded with 3 AAA batteries. It does not take such batteries. It has to be plugged in to work. In my case for what I’m using this item for that’s not gonna work for me. Basically the description is false. And it does not come with a manual of how to work it I had to go on YouTube to figure this item out.
