Pros definitely outweigh the cons, I bought two!
I had a similar flatiron from Conair, that I loved, but dropped too many times and it shorted out on me. The original lasted about 5 years though, so hopefully this one will do the same. I actually purchased two, just in case something happens to one of them, I'll have a back up. I keep it in my travel bag, so I'll never need to remember to pack it! Pros: - Variable heat settings - Longer "barrel" makes it quicker to use (main reason I bought this model, one of the things I loved about my other one) - Cord turns independent of the flatiron, so it doesn't get twisted up during use Cons: - It doesn't clamp quite as tight as the other model, so "stick-straight" hair is hard to obtain. Best inexpensive straightener
I researched before I purchased. Glad I did. This is an amazing straightener. The temp settings easy to control the temp. It glides across my hair and does what I want it to do, straighten or curl. Liked it so much I bought one for my daughter.

heated failure
it wasnt heating up and kept shutting off as soon as i got it in the mail and it gradually got worse and now it just isn't heating up or turning on for that matter
