    the bible has more answers than this book.

    i do not understand how a school can use this book as a so called "teaching aid". There are very few examples and no answers to the homework problems. There is a quiz for each section that actually has answers on the publishers website. If you need something to level a table or kill a bug, this is the book for you. If you need a book with many examples and these new things called "answers", then look elsewhere. I am guessing the glowing reviews are from the publisher, or employees of the publisher. also, it is too bad i had to give this book one star instead of the zero it deserved.

    Great book for anyone taking full course in Probability. Must buy.

    Great product The book is the original US edition and is almost half the price what I would have paid in my University Book Store. Also the book is of great help. I would certainly recommend any one taking the probability course. Clearly explained concepts and help problems. Thanks again. PS - I think the price of the book could have been a little bit more lower. But I am not complaining after saving 50%. Typical Human greed :)

    Great book for one who likes to self teach extremely difficult subjects.

    If you are good mathematician, you can self teach with this book. This makes real analysis look like a cake walk.

    My Professor wrote this book!

    It's a pretty good book, and I had to get it, seeing as my professor was one of the authors. But it helps a great deal. Keeping up with the lectures through reading the book ensures that you will not have a hard time while taking this class.

    Beginners will find it the most helpful

    I loved the friendly approach of explaining complex topics. Instead of jumping from one step to another, it gradually took me to the main idea of any topic. Beginners or "back to study after long time" students will find this very helpful.
