About this product

Product Information

Set in the African Mediterranean during World War II, this fully 3D real-time strategy game from Monte Cristo prides itself on historical accuracy and attention to detail. Missions vary, from small reconnaissance operations to full-scale assaults. Each mission begins with a briefing, which puts the operation in historical context and informs the player on battlefield details and other particulars. Including tanks, infantry, air support, and specialists, as many as 70 different units types will fall under the player's command at one time or another, according to mission settings and objectives. Once a mission is accomplished, players are ranked on a three-tiered scale according to their performances, and are awarded a commensurate experience bonus. To allow focus on precise tactics instead of broad strategies, the single-player game can be paused at any time, so commanders can survey their situation, compose a plan, and give the right orders to the right units. Multiplayer modes support up to four players.

    Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps (PC Games)

    This PC game has great graphics for when it was developed. The intro for the game is informative and helpful. The AI is excellent and keeps you guessing, as much as an AI could do. The controls are a little difficult to understand on how they work but once you have mastered them they make game play much easer. I couldn’t fined a way of Immediately going were an attack was taking place except for clinking on the thumb nail map. I would have been nice to have a hotkey for that. On the subject of hot keys they take the longest to learn the designer arbitrarily picked keys, so you have to spend a little time remembering what key is for what or do like I did and make a list. In conclusion the game is great, The graphics are excellent for the time. The AI is works great and gives this game its ...

    I like it, its realistic.

    unbelievable its one of the better games I have. its graphic are top notch. I played it on my windows xp many times before, but could not get it to play on my new windows 8.1. I bought another copy of it in case something happen to the old copy I'ed have a back up.
