    Compact and simple to use...

    Compact and simple to use, same manufacturer of larger industrial units so a known trusted brand, charged a completely dead/flat 45Ah battery in just under 20 hours which is expected, I believe, quite happy all considered.

    Mine overheats and cuts out repeatedly

    This 6amp charger gets very hot quickly and the thermal cut out kicks in repeatedly and when it does the LEDs go out and you have to guess what is going on. If you want to be certain it is charging you have to unplug it, disconnect it from the battery, let it cool then connect to the battery at which point all the LEDs will light up (which means it is ready to charge) then plug it in which resets all but the red power LED and wait for the green one to light to show the battery is charged ........... but you never get there because the thermal cut out kicks in and you have to start again. Really frustrating and in my view it needs a cooling fan. Also not automatic so you have to keep an eye on it all the time. Would pay more for an automatic one next time or maybe get the 4amp version ...

    Does the job but !

    Seems to do the job. However the indicator lights don't tell you anything, there either all on or all off. I thought the point of the lights was going to show the state of charge by coming on in a set sequence. So while it's a nice well made charger and does the job I don't know what use the lights are.
