    The gas valve I ordered was not the one in the box. They are selling old valve which is higher price and sending the new valve that you can buy much cheaper at Menards. Which you may want to buy a spare because these water heaters are junk. They don’t tell you this new valve supersedes the old one till you buy it. If you have AP15255C, new valve is AP14270C. They said I could return the valve for full refund. The only reason I didn’t was because I didn’t want to wait for hot water.
