Synopsis
It is 1940 and all the British Empire is at war, including the industrial city of Fort York, Canada. A distraction occurs when Junior Alderman Gertrude Valentini receives a Valentine's Day gift of a dead chicken with an arrow through its heart. Although she is not amused, the incident is considered a harmless practical joke until holidays in successive moths bring more serious 'pranks' -- such as murder. It is Albert V. Tretheway, an oversized, formidable Inspector in the Fort York Police Department, to the rescue in a raucous climax on New Year's Eve where the entire cast of bizarre, hilarious characters is assembled.

These and the other 2 books ordered arrived in the condition described, carefully wrapped in a box, and within the time estimated. The shipping costs were reasonable and so were the item prices. The package was held at customs for a while but the communication updates about the shipment progress were extensive and accurate. I would buy from this seller again. Very satisfied, excellent experience!

Another perfect transaction: book in excellent as-described condition; superbly/protectively packaged (each book in a plastic sleeve, nestled between cardboard and packing peanuts within a stiff well-taped box; shipped @ super speed. And the pricing is always a good value here. Highly recommended seller. Thank you.
