Fits a niche market.
I have a customer with very little money and some lightning damage. Lightning took out her ATT modem and the NIC on her computer. This device was so cheap that I was able to gift it to her and it worked after the drivers installed. It fit a very narrow need yet it was a big deal to my customer. The downside is that is has very low throughput. While on my bench and with a 90 mbps connection, it was only able to achieve less than 7 mbps download speed. I attribute this to the fact that it has to use the CPU of the host computer to send/receive data. Since my clients internet is actually slower than 6 mbps, this will not be an issue but it would not work if it was for me in my environment.I have a customer with very little money and some lightning damage. Quality wise, by the look you can say it is not very good quality. But, price tells all. I do not recommend it, because, it didn't work on linux despite they said it would.
