    Priced just right and light weight with exceptional features.

    The braking system is an SVS infinity braking system. Once you open side plate and set up the 4 brake pads like you want and set up side dial your set to go. Casting distance was adequate for the type of fishing I do. One thing I really love about the SLX XT is the smoothness of casting and the retrieve. When you cast and retrieve a lure with this reel, it has a buttery smooth yet rock solid feel. It’s as if absolutely zero force is wasted.

    FIRST CAST (NO BACKLASH),VERY SMOOTH WITH GREAT CONTROL. This will probably last me the rest of my lifetime, but I would recommend to anyone who uses a baitcaster.I have been a Quantum Acc. fan for 15 years+but I am no more Shimano all the way.

    Take the time for better equipment.

    I purchased a SLX in store for the same amount as this SLX XT, while it is a good reel I feel the SLX XT is a better reel and a much better value. I should've taken my time.
