My son loves it
This was a gift to accompany the microscope he got for Christmas. It is full of so many slides that just sent him straight to the moon. He would take a slide, work at setting it up and then after he saw it would look up the name to learn more and read all about it. It is half way through Jan and he shows no sign of stopping! Great Value- but not perfection
This set is an excellent value with the vast majority of slides well stained and mounted. None had air bubbles under the coverslips. Most slides had two color staining. Hard to beat for the price. That said, there were some real 'stinkers' in there, little or no stain -and hard to view as a result. Some misspellings on slide titles. Some slides were wrong subjects, but not more than a few. All slides were very dirty and required cleaning prior to use. But by far the vast majority were just fine. I would recommend this set for all beginners and many advanced hobbyists as well -as the price is so low and the value high. (Of course, $5 and up slides are beautifully stained and mounted but to get 100 of those would set you back quite a sum.)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great quality slide set, but the box is not well made - requires fixing.
Very good product, but the storage box lacks quality control. The box I got does not correctly hold the slides - they fall out of the grooves due to one side of the slot being incorrectly mounted - resulting in a very loose fit for that row of slides. Useful but poor quality
Mountant is deteriorating creating artifacts (cracking, crazing) in images, especially in dark field, phase contrast, and polarized. Most are OK in bright field, but a few slides are not useable. This is second set from Amscope with this problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
