Recommend with reservations
I will begin by writing that these scissors are unmatched in their cutting ability. I am very impressed with how well they cut EVERYTHING!. Bones (Chicken) were my challenge and so I used a sharp and heavy knife to cut the bones. Now I can use my scissors. Here comes the reservation. I'm still in the learning phase of using -these specific scissors. Learning? What is there to learn? They fall apart/separate quite easily. These scissors have a threshold that cannot be passed when it comes to HOW MUCH THEY CAN BE OPENED. If you open ALL THE WAY - the two halves will separate and so I must stop and put them back together again. This ability to separate does indeed make it easier to make sure your scissors are very clean when you wash them. However, I would happily give up this "convenience" for a version of these scissors that DO NOT SEPARATE. Otherwise . . . it's a great pair of scissors for all my kitchen uses and I no longer use any of the other scissors.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

great value shears
have had a pair of these for over 10 years. i use as garden shears, cut chicken, & anything else. i replaced them with a pair of ekcos & hated them. they got dull immediately, couldn't cut chicken,& the handles fell off. so i got another pair of kershaws. i still use the old ones in the garden. i also throw them in the dishwasher & they hold up fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Best scissors I ever owned
Outstanding pair of scissors. I use the bone cutter feature often while cleaning smaller wild game. Cuts great and comes apart easy for clean up. My only objection is that sometimes these scissors come apart on their own if they are opened too wide. But that is a small inconvenience for such a well made pair of scissors. I believe they will be the last pair I need to buy for cleaning wild game in my lifetime. I read all the ratings tests on scissors and these finished either first or second in every test. After using them for a few weeks, I can see they earned their high marks. My wife is left handed and she can use them with no problems. Do your self a favor and buy a pair (or two). They were a little hard to find near Christmas time. I wanted and needed a pair ASAP, so I paid a little more than I would normally to get them in my hands. Second pair

Thesr Kurshaw and the higher priced Shun shears are the exact same
These kitchen shears made by Kershaw and the ones made by Shun are the exact same except the Kershaw’s are $20.00 cheaper, They are both made in Japan and stamped out on machines and not made by old samurai master sword makers as the marketeers want you to believe. Scissor Hands!
So well designed and executed they fit my hands as if I was born with them. On the job they cut like twin knives working in perfect sync with each other. At home in the kitchen to clip beans and peas I keep them in the oak knife block right along with the chef knives. First rate kitchen shears...
Same shears as sold by Shun for twice as much. Cut cloth cleanly when bought, and five years later still cuts cloth if not as cleanly. Basically only scissors in house and used for everything including poking and prying, and they live on the kitchen counter. High carbon stain-less steel is resharpenable and appears pivot tension can be adjusted for wear. Bought same for mom and sis.
