The latter "HAND MADE" idols are just that, mechanical forgeries, and not in fact Icons according to Orthodox tradition, which teaches that the Holy Spirit guides the iconographer, who is in constant prayer. I recommend Chrysa and Christopher for their Holy work not just as Doctor in Byzantine studies and an art critic but as an Orthodox Christian.

My only suggestion for the seller is to more securely package as the icons rolled around the box and chipped some of the paint off the borders of them, but perhaps the paint was too tacky to individually wrap them. I am not sure but it was not a deal breaker for me.
