    Not the best fit for the lamp.

    It was a tight fit to get the replacement switch into the lamp pole. Took a lot to force it into place, I thought I was going to break it. Once I got it in place the switch part for the knob did not project out enough to but the nut on it to hold it in place. It also was not easy to get in place. Also, the nut was not suppled with the replacement switch. I had to reuse the old one. But it is working for the moment. We will see how long it last.

    Good replacement.

    Wire length was adequate and they were already stripped and ready to go. The feel of the brightness adjustment was smooth and the on/off click was satisfying. The wire nuts were nice to have, too. I thought the plastic body was a bit flimsy, but it was good enough for the job. Just don't cross threads or tighten the keeper too much. I fear you could strip the plastic threads. Tighten only enough to hold it securely. With those caveats, it worked great.

    Dimmer Failure

    Very simple, dimmer failed 4 months after install. The lamp was not used everyday, just normal use of about 4-5 hours when operated, 3-4 days per week, so maybe 250-275 hours on this dimmer since install in Jan. 2018. Supplier only gave 30 day warranty.

    Lack of installation directions. Otherwise, it did fix the lamp. Don't know if I installed it right, but it is working.
