    The Gold Standard

    If you are a scale modeler with even a passing interest in the earliest aerial warfare, you owe it to yourself to get your hands on one of the incomparable offerings from New Zealand's Wingnut Wings. Pricey as they are, their engineering is second to none, based on digital measurements made of the actual aircraft in personal and museum collections. In 1/32 scale, the fighters take up the space of a 1/48 fighter from the Second World War, and they offer incredible detail that can actually be seen after assembly. Instructions include diagrams for rigging the various wires that braced these seemingly fragile machines. Straight out of the box, careful assembly and painting will give you a contest contender. As extensive as Wingnut Wings catalog is, all kits do not remain in production forever. ...
