    Handy Calculating device

    This is a magic black box with buttons that calculates things for you. It is extremely handy. You can store functions in it to recall when needed such as converting temperatures down Celsius to Fahrenheit or solving Ohm’s law for current or voltage. The buttons work well and are very tactile and enjoyable to use, as opposed to the glass screens this plague of smartphones has wrought on us. This device uses common AAA batteries that last for months if not years. The screen has good contrast but no color and no backlight—hey that’s what you get if you want good battery life! The ergonomics are well thought out. It isn’t too big but it isn’t too small. It’s almost as if the device was designed for human hands. The buttons are big enough to be easy to push with a finger or far thumb, yet ...

    TI-86 Calculators

    I had a TI-86 for over 17 years and the display started acting up. TI quit producing the 86 in 2006, so I went on e-bay and found the TI-86. I found two that were in great condition and tested, I bought both so I now have a spare for years to come. I have a TI-84 Plus CE that requires 21key strokes to get to where I want to go while the TI-86 requires one key stroke.
