I was surprised at the dirt it pulled off my track. It doesn’t vacuum, but does a great job cleaning the top of your track. Replacement pad material is available at Michaels for $5.99 for a 7 yard roll (enough for about 360 refills!!). Very simple to replace the pads. You do need a fairly heavy loco with good traction wheels to pull this around. Seller will mix and match colors, if you ask

I let it run the layout for 10 or 20 minutes and it is cleaner than I was doing, and it does it automatically. The gauge for cutting new pads is appreciated, as well as the supply source for new pad material. The coupling on the car isn’t compatible with my Kato locomotive, but I just use it to push the cleaner car around with no problems. Well satisfied.

I added metal wheels to mine for more weight, but as it comes is a perfect amount of weight to clean! 1 engine can pull it with ease. If you're looking for a track cleaning car look no further, this is THE best bang for your buck, and it looks good too!
