I would but the Genuine Mazda Touchup paint again.
I found the two-step touch-up paint to be a good product. Since it comes out from the tub in droplets, it did not completely smooth out, but it was not calling attention to itself, either. The "Mazda soul red" paint color worked very well, on both my five year old Mazda6 and on my new CX-5. Let me say this: both cars paint chips and scratches turned out better than I had expected.

Poor Applicator
I’ve been around awhile and touched up many chips. There is no brush on this applicator. Most have a brush similar to nail polish. This applicator doesn’t allow for very fine chips or scratches. It’s a thick swab type applicator very difficult to apply the paint with…..for that reason I don’t recommend it but doesn’t seem to be any other game in town

Easy application with both paint and clearcoat.
No touchup paint will match exactly, but this paint comes very close. The applicator makes it easy to dab the paint so it doesn't run or overapply. The clearcoat even has some color.

Works about as well as expected
It's not going to be the best result due to the reflective nature of the Soul Red Metallic, so on certain angles it appears darker and on other angles it appears just right. But, rather than the white/gray chips original there that were visible from several feet away, I can't see the touch up paint from 2 feet away.

Possibly the Best touch up paint for Soul Red
Very tricky to use but arguably the best touch up paint for Soul Red Crystal. (Make sure you have the RIGHT kind of Soul Red Crystal). Two layers. Top coat is a bit clear pink and completes the paint.

Mazda doesn't have the highest quality paint so needed a touch up pen for normal wear and tear on my 2019 cx-9. This was super easy to apply and is the best color match I've found. It matches so well you can't even tell where it was applied unless you look really close. Highly recommend.

Good paint pen but know its limitations
Pen works fine. With any tri-coat or quad coat paint on a car no paint pen or other chip system will match 100%. Sometimes leaving a chip as is might be best option depending on its location. Using the philosophy of less is more works better too.
