    If your a beginner or a professional then you know it starts with the highest quality and standards. Go with a name you can trust Kester. This product works gear for through hole capacitors and resistors or any through hole components. If you repair a lot of (pcb) on televisions this .031 is perfect for that. Another good use would be amplifiers or Any larger components. It's the best all around diameter. If I had to choose one solder one size this would be it. The quality is superior the size is average. It is leaded so it makes it much easier to work with then the lead free. I works well around 650 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a thicker dimension so if you were doing surface mounted soldering then I would recommend the .020 thinner solder but for your average all around soldering this is ...

    Kester 44 Rosin Core Solder 60/40 .031 1 lb. Spool

    I have used this type of solder on many electronic projects and on many electronic repairs for approximately 40 years. I can honestly say that in those 40 years, I haven't found any other solder that compares, in quality and for being "user friendly"!

    Kester is the best

    Some of the best in the business. I am a pro electronics repair man specializing in CB radios. The harsh freezing cold to steaming hot that vehicles endure year round cracks solder joints. This holds up very very well for mobile electronics. Anything that stays in a climate controlled environment is sure to last a lifetime.
