The DPM-3 is an easy to use load cell readout plus with the serial port or usb opti module you can use your computer with the free software to chart the readout. The TEDS features make it easy to switch load cells and keep calibration. I have four of these.

Shows some instability, I have two and they both do the same thing, the reading from a strain gauge jumps around erratically, then it's ok for a while and reads the same as my other (more expensive) readouts.
