    Best compact camera available today. This is a Photographer's Camera. Pricey, but worth it. Extremely capable. Not for non-photographers and snap shooters who should just use their phones. In the hands of an experienced photographer it is a joy. Easy to use in Auto Modes, but deserves to be handled by someone willing to learn the features and exercise them. See images shot in both RAW and JPEG, PS2020 for edits

    Bigger, Heavier, More Expensive, With Over 20 Pages of Menu Settings

    I own a Sony DSC-RX100, the first of the line, and I do not see a substantial upgrade in the DSC-RX100IV. The main difference is that the menu has sprouted at least 20 extra pages of non-essential features. As far as I can tell, it is the same lens, but I have to dig deeper to control what ought to be up-front settings like White Balance. As an old-school shooter, I really prefer the simplicity of the older models. Here is what I like about the new model: The LCD is jointed so that it can be held at an angle, the lens ring seems looser, The DISP menu is comprehensive about settings. On the other hand, it is bulkier and heavier. It has a built-in optical viewfinder, but I never did figure out how to set the diopter so that I could get a clear picture from it. Also, it is ...

    High quality camera you will not mind carrying around.

    I have been using the camera for about two weeks. This camera is both easy to use and difficult. It can operate as a point and shoot. However if you want to make use of it many features, there is a steep learning curve. I like the view finder, especially on bright days. The only negative is that sometimes when I put the camera up to my face and tap the external screen, I change the focus point. There is probably a setting to turn off the touch screen focus, but I have to find it in the menu, which is not all that straight forward. There is an online manual, but the camera maybe obsolete by the time I get through the whole thing. The pictures look great. I already own the RX10 which has the same sensor size so the picture quality is about the same. I like being able to slide the ...

    Tiny Travel Powerhouse

    Fantastic little camera for travel. Excellent features and super compact. Image quality, AF and overall performance are truly excellent. Actually a bit tiny for my large hands, but that’s just me. Ideally would like a little faster lens, but the trade-off for the long zoom is worth it. Really a great little camera. Highly recommended if you need something small, light or ideal for travel.

    My open-box camera was exactly as expected. I got a great deal on this camera, and it arrived exactly on time. This is a great camera with alot of functionality and it is easy to use out of the box, but to get full use of all the features I recommend watching some tutorials on YouTube.
