    Good recorder for the value!

    I have been using an Olympus microcassette recorder for many years. They are hard to beat. For the value, they hold up, are easy to use and good quality. When my last one died, I purchased the S-713 to replace it and I am quite satisfied.

    Great when new but beware when used.

    The Olympus Pearlcorder is a great product. I purchased a new one about 6 months ago for approximately $200.00. I had purchased a new one many years ago and it lasted for many years. I purchase a refurbished one last month and the recording quality is less than I hoped. It's not the model but the condition of the actual recorder I purchased. It works "okay" but the sound quality of the recording is, as my paralegal describes it, is "tinny". I knew it was used when I purchased if for $39.00 and I have no complaints about the value of it given the low cost. I'll use it until it dies and then go back to the new one.

    works well but the audio jacks are 2mm instead of the standard 3.5 i think, which would’ve been good to know. i got adaptors but now i can’t tell if playback is weird because of them or the device. works well otherwise

    Don't buy a new one. There are lots of used ones that word PERFECTLY out there for one-tenth the price. Reliable. Very good sound quality. Happy with transaction.
