    Installing and using Visual Basic 6

    I have been using Visual Basic for 20 years, starting with teach Version 4 in high school. I have written six applications with its Version 5 for a local nonprofit running Windows 7 Pro. I bought Version 6 because I was afraid that the next iteration of Windows (i.e., 10 and successors) would bring down my apps. The literature I reviewed said it runs on Windows 10. I recompiled the Version 5 code with Version 6 and loaded it on a server running Windows Server 2012. There seems to be no problems so far, but I haven't finished intensive testing. (BTW limited testing indicates that my Version 5 program run on Windows 10). Installing VB Version6 inside of Visual Studio 6 in non-intuitive, but the vendor's instructions were good. Warning the version I bought did not include the MSDN library, ...
