The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stoud is full of fun and adventure. it takes place in an England run by wizards and populated by any number of magical beings one of which is the dginni Bartimaeus. This Dginni is not the Disney hero he is a manipulative being ready to twist the words of his master to benefit himself, but always comes though in the end for who ever he is working for, although he is quite loathed to do so. the trilogy follows the story of Bartimaeus and his wizard master Nathaniel. it is full of fun wit and action. i would not recommend this to younger children as there is a little violence and there are foot notes to explain some of the ideas presented by the narrators. also if you are confused by multiple narrators these books may be confusing for you as it is told by three people 2 in 3rd person one in 1st. i enjoyed this series very much as did many of my friends and the children in my life. i did have a few people tell me that they felt that it slowed towards the end but i did not have this have this problem, i recommend this trilogy to everyone.Read full review
