Really outstanding quality. Seems they went to a lot of trouble to be very exacting in design and production. That costs... too much, in my opinion - way too much. And the end design, while exacting, isn't that great. Main problem in actual usage is that the corners of the mounting "ears" are so sharp and impossible to avoid hitting with your hands, knuckles, etc., that I took it off after one day for that very (painful) reason. Yeah, you could round off all the offending corners, then paint them or something, but why? To end up with an overpriced, boogered., P.O.C.? So it lives in the "parts pile, with all the other purchases that didn't turn out so well. As I write, I realize I should have given it more like 2 or 3 stars. Disappointing.

If you need a higher RDS set up, for passive shooting, this is a very good option. The extra 1/2" in height will allow you to line up behind the RDS with helmet-mounted NVD. It also has plenty of room for a 3x mag, and even BUIS's. So yeah save about 700 bucks by going this route.

The riser is lightweight and well made. I had medium picttinnny mounts on hand, but for me I wanted a little more hight. They slide over the picttinnny flat top, then in cert the screws. The riser was a good buy, considering the price of having to buy a nother quality picttinnny mount for my scope.

Extremely well made here in the USA, gives extra scope clearance without having to use extra tall rings! Very solid, well machined and finished. Highly recommend!
