Have been juicing using a Breville Juice Fountain that I purchased about 10 years ago - love the machine, still works great. Wanted to upgrade to a masticating juicer. After much research and debating between the Omega J8006HDS and this one, I decided to go with the Tribest Green Star Elite because of the reviews for sweeter, better tasting juice and their technology with the twin gears. Just juiced with it and am shocked at how little pulp there is compared to the Breville. Did a fantastic job on the greens - pulled them right in. Needed to add some pressure for the beets. The pineapple clogged up the screen and created a back flow. Juicing celery helped clear it a bit. Poured a cup of water through the juicer while it was still on after I finished juicing. It took a few minutes, but the water pushed out the remaining pulp in the spout. It’s not nearly as difficult to clean as I thought it would be based on user reviews, though it does take more time because of the pulp and residue left on the machine and the screen. The most time consuming part to clean is the residue on the machine. The screen cleans easily with a butter knife and toothbrush.Read full review

eBay is pretty off-putting with all their rules after enticing buyers to leave feedback. Look for John with Discount Juicers on YouTube. He explains many things this juicer does well and the things it does not do so well. I chose "yes" on the 3 questions eBay mindlessly posed about ease of use, cleaning, and speed but John will explain this to put it into perspective. He will also explain why the fastest and easiest juicers are not the best. We have had a wide range of juicers from the very efficient and expensive Norwalk to the cheap and fast Juiceman and the hand-crank wheat grass juicer. In my opinion, the Green Star is the ultimate combination of versatility, ease of use, and efficiency. For juicing, it has a high extraction rate so you get more yield than most other juicers. This lowers your cost of juicing. The gears turn slowly so very little heat is produced in juicing and this makes the juice more nutritious. You can do other things besides juicing. You can make frozen sorbet by feeding frozen fruits through it. That is the only way I have been able to jamb the Green Star, by feeding frozen fruits too fast. You can make hemp seed milk (listen to John on YouTube), almond milk, soy milk, tasty before-dinner drinks, nut butters, and other things. Juicing wheat grass in with my green juice or other juices is a snap. The only thing I have found that is difficult to juice is soft fruit. There are tricks you can learn to do it but if you try to juice only soft fruit, you will end up with fairly low yield, relative to other fruits and vegetables that go through the Green Star. Cleaning can be a bit daunting at first but with a few good tips given in the manual and some practice I find it pretty simple and straight forward to clean and reassemble for the next use. Learning to use the Green Star well and taking the time to make juice with any juicer is a significant time investment. But it is a great investment in a healthy lifestyle, one that I am glad to have made in the Green Star. Read full review

Very satisfied with the product. I had to watch a tutorial after the first time I used it to understand the functionality of the accessories (the knobs are really important). I bought my product used and I think there was a book missing, so watching the tutorial really helped me. When juicing the veggies (kale), I was cutting the leafs like I did with my centralized juicer before I placed them in the machine. Also, I needed to see exactly how to place the blades back into the machine properly (which also really matters). The pulp was significantly less & drier then a centralized juicer, and at times there wasn't any pulp, only juice. It may take 1 or 2 tries to assemble and use properly, but once you get the hang of it, you will be very satisfied. As far as cleaning the machine, I juiced a lot, so there was thick build up on the screen that was not easy to clean off. But if rinsed with really hot water, all of the pulp washed right off, no scrubbing, except the screen. Read full review

and none of them are really quick to clean. Always multiple pieces, but this one is actually pretty good. A quick rinse for most of the parts, light brushing for the gears and as always its takes a bit of meticulous brushing/scrubbing to get the screen clean. That being said this is the best juicer I've ever owned. Powerful, no vibration, not noisy, pretty fast and the pulp is drier than any of the others I've had. Definitely happy with it.

Pros: great job juicing leafy greens slow RPM produces less foam than my Champion juicer different screens allow for different pulp content more juice, drier fiber waste health benefits- first thing I noticed was that my nails are stronger and healthier looking, Need to adjust to: slower process to juice veggies, more prep cutting veggies into smaller pieces, preferably with a pointy end for easier feeding cleaning the screen needs perseverance but gets easier; more time consuming than a centrifuge screen or auger type. If you want to juice greens, it's worth it in the end.

It really does a great job extracting the juices out of veggies and fruits. The pulp that comes out is really dry, therefore, you get a lot of juice. Clean up is a little much, but not hard, just time consuming. This jumbo twin gear juicer is great because you can juice enough to put in refrigerator for 72 hrs and get the full benefit of the enzymes, and not have to juice everyday!!

It definitely gets more juice than any centrifugal old time juicer. But it’s slower, and harder to clean. Also need some elbow grease to push in harder vegetables. Carrots, beets, etc. but the juice has no air / oxygen in it, so it lasts longer on the fridge and taste fresher! It also does nut milks, sorbets, etc... I Love it!

Squeezes a lot of juice from everything we throw into it! It isn't cheap, but the left-over shreds are quite dry which shows us this thing is not wasting our carrots, kale, celery, parsley, etc.. which means it doesn't waste my money like less expensive juicers! We juice 5 lbs of carrots every day and more juice per pound = less money wasted! Extra attachments included are great when we take time to figure them out. Cleaning is easy with included multi-sided brush. The brush could be just a little stiffer, but it has many different sides for getting into tighter spots of juicer. The price will scare off the casual juicer! This is a serious machine without going commercial. Price shopping can save a lot since full retail is quite high.

It works great for leafy greens, but you have to change the attachment to do apples, which doesn't make it convenient. Apples came out pulpy without the attachment. It's a necessity for leafy greens, but a little bulky for everything.
