Great camcorder but you need a (hard to find on its own) docking station to be included with the camcorder to enable transfer of the video from the hard drive to a computer. If you haven't got a suitable docking station then video transfer from the built in memory is impossible.

I read the reviews and it's unfair to give it a poor rating without actually having used the camera! I've had one since the end of Dec last year and used it on holiday, I and my friends were blown away by just how easy it was to use and how great the video's came out, even with the wind when we were on the beach, sound was perfect! Picture quality is amazing and when it comes to putting the movies on disc Sony couldn't have made it easier! Great camera! 10/10

Quite good handy camera.Light, compact and powerful.I tried it in my daughter's birthday and gave me excellnt results. Happy to buy it. So buy it as well.
The item is easy to used with out instructions, my own camcorder packed up so needed to replace.. With this new cam as it uses a hard drive instead of a hi8 tape there are less moving parts to go wrong. I travel quite often and i do like to keep a record of were i have been and people i have met so this cam will come in as just what i needed as it is very small and easy to use.
