There's a lot of great things I can say about AC3, I played a demo of it when I was very young. It was actually my first introduction to the series, and I was in awe of the amazing features the game has (For the time it seemed way ahead compared to other ps2 games). Just like the past and future games there is a deep customization feature where you can design your own AC (that's the robot you control, also called "Armored Core") to your liking. You can change the head, body (core), arms, legs, weapons, thrusters, internal components that power and fuel your AC, and even decorate it with whatever colors, patterns, and emblems you want. However, the parts you decide to go with all have their own stats that will affect how your AC will perform in combat. If you're unfamiliar with how it all ... There's a lot of great things I can say about AC3, I played a demo of it when I was very young. It was actually my first introduction to the series, and I was in awe of the amazing features the game has (For the time it seemed way ahead compared to other ps2 games). For some this might be a turnoff, but the game requires patience as an other user has stated. Once you know how to create an AC that really performs well is when this game starts to become amazing. I have played all the Armored Core games now, (With the exception of the new games from 2012 and on) and this game is still in my top 3 of all the games of the series on the PS2. This game has an good plot when compared to the other games, and many of the missions and arena battles feel engaging (Especially the boss battles). The game does have multiplayer, a mode where you fight against multiple AI ACs, a split screen mode where you can go against one other person, and there's even a bigger mode where you can go against 6 other players (Required you have a i.Link connection with another PS2). This series is the best when It comes to Mech simulation, recommend you pick any of the games up as most of them are the same in terms of structure and gameplay. This game is not perfect, no game is... Therefore, I officially rate this game a 4 out of 5 stars. Give it a chance, who knows maybe this will be one of your biggest game fads like it is mine.

I've loved this game since day it came out! Amazing Gameplay, perfect controls, graphics for its time were way ahead, Endless customization... (Pair this with a Code breaker, optional) & have even more customization. Truly amazing! One of best games all time for ANY console! Try AC2 as well!

I like PS2 platform games because there are so many choices! The Armored Core series is a good balance of gaming skills to add to any collection. I purchase most games to collect as well as play! The controls of the Armored Core games are similar to the Tom Clancy style of play where the playing field and players view of it are somewhat awkward...otherwise everything is all good!
