Took a little manageable effort to push my 180 lb in-law up being a 140 lb person, and not a problem going down backwards. The ideal ramp would be an eight feet one. The only adjustment made was to shorten the chain.

Only issue is the "top" is a little wider than the "bottom" and is a tough fit in the side door of our minivan, it must be adjusted forward, or back a few inches to fit. I'm using the "bottom" of the ramp as the top but it doesn't seem to be a problem. 180 lb electric wheelchair rolls right up it like nothing. Love the preinstalled grip pads that run the length of the ramp. Overall I would recommend this.
