Not a true Hardcover as stated, but a "flexible rigid" cover... But it is still an excellent volume - great price, fast ship, secure packaging - Recommended Seller! AAA+++

  • What the Gospels Meant

    I purchased this book to be used in a discussion group at my church. The group is led by a professor of religion at a college. With some backgrond in the New Testament, this book is interesting. However, it helps greatly to have a scholar guide me and other group members through the four chapters/Gospels.

  • What the Gospels Meant

    Garry Wills was the featured writer on C-Span last weekend and answered questions from the audience about his latest book. I enjoyed his prior books and wasn,t disappointed to hear his discussion , so I decided to purchase it as a gift for a family friend who I feel will like it very much.Thank-you, Heather Jacobson

  • Examines the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John;

    Examines the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John; explains their methods and styles; and interprets their goals. Suggests that each Gospel is a meditation on the meaning of Jesus.
