I'm not a professional reviewer so this may be short on some points that a professional reviewer would do better on. Comparing it to the Olympus 14-42, I like the Panasonic better because of it closer focusing ability and the fact that I don't have to manually collapse the lens after use. Sharpness is about the same.

The lens producers a pretty good picture even though the build is not great. However the f3.5 lens makes it hard to shoot in low light. All and all, a good value considering the cost.

I bought this lens to make my camera more compact for walking around. The total lens extension is about 1/2" at both 14mm and 42mm. It is fully retracted at 25mm FL. It has taken images that are sharp enough for my purposes.

I bought this lens by accident for my X5S drone camera thinking it was the model with auto zoom. It seem to give a good quality image, but returned it for the auto zoom model. If I was using this on my regular camera, manual zoom would have been fine. Good lens for the money if the auto zoom function is not a requirement.

I’m a auto photographer by trade and this little lens really works well for all my exterior shots interior is another thing I find that I need more ambient light or a flash in order to get a properly lit shot. Still for the money great little lens.
