About this product
Product Information
Mars Matrix by Sega Dreamcast takes place in the year 2039, when the Earth Federation has sent a fleet of experimental airships to stop the uprising taking place on the Red Planet. In this vertical scrolling, 2D shooter game, players must confront an enemy onslaught and face insurmountable odds across six game stages. Gameplay consists of three basic attacks taking place between two different ships, and centers around the Gravity Hole Bomb, a device that’s self-replenishing and enables players to absorb, accumulate, and ultimately be able to make use of enemy bullets. Play modes include Elite, Arcade, Strategy, and Score Challenge. All modes enable players to accumulate scores that are converted into cash, and that can be used in the game’s Secret Shop. Mars Matrix by Sega Dreamcast was conceived by Japanese game developer Takumi in 2000. It was published by Capcom and originally run on their CPS-2 arcade system board. The game was ported to the Dreamcast game console in 2001. This is one of the games known as a maniac-shooter, with tons of bullets and lasers on the loose, and requiring great speed and good aim on the player’s part. You start this game with only four lives, and your goal is to to survive by avoiding and dodging enemies and the millions of shots fired at your aircraft. Players try to advance as much as possible through the six game stages. The basic storyline of Mars Matrix by Sega Dreamcast centers around the fight between Earth and the colonists on Mars, who had been sent there centuries earlier due to mass starvation on earth. In 2039 Mars sends a declaration of independence to Earth and prepares itself for an attack by assembling a gigantic armada. The Earth Federation wants to stop this rebellion and sends out a fleet of battleships to enter Mars and stop the rebels, and eventually find and destroy the rebel leader. Players fight the Mars rebels, and if successful must eventually do battle with the ultimate leader. Each alien you destroy earns you cash that you can spend in the Secret Shop, to unlock new bonuses and go deeper into the game. Players should be prepared to go through Mars Matrix by Sega Dreamcast several times before being able to unlock everything, like better speed, vortex attack fast-reload, and ultimately a new hyper hardest mode. The game is pretty typical for a shooter with single, two-player, or co-op mode, as well as firepower upgrade items, and gigantic bosses in every level. Mars Matrix by Sega Dreamcast is a solid offering in the classic shooter genre and can provide many hours of fast action gameplay.

Seller feedback (96,295)
- l***f (317)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseExcellent packaging, quick shipping, and professional communication. Item was exactly as pictured and a great price. A perfect seller! Thanks so much!
- u***a (76)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseDelivered on time with adequate protection in the packaging. The description did note some edge wear of the ink stamp, but I felt looking back that the pictures didn't do very well to highlight the extent of the stamp fading, maybe due to lighting/glare. While I might have selected a different disc with a bit less ink wear if I'd looked more carefully at the picture, the seller accurately represented the condition and I am happy with the purchase for the price.Dynamic Discs EMac Truth PDGA Octopus Disc Golf Midrange - 177g (#197416829583)
- 8***a (171)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseGreat seller! I bought a Xbox 360 play and charge cable. It ended up having some issues and would not charge. I let the seller know and they sent me a replacement immediately! I just got the replacement and it's working great! So happy! Shipping and packaging was great as well. I would highly recommend this seller. They know how to take care of their customers. I would def buy from again. Thanks again for everything!!!
