    Good book, bad former owner.

This book smelled like the bottom of an ash tray. While the book it's self was in good condition, I had to put it into a bag with a charcoal filter for a week to even hold it. And after that it still was so bad I could only read a few pages at a time with out getting an asthma attack.

  • Left Me Filling In The Gaps

The book that I received was in great condition, so the review I'm giving is for the content alone. The problem with Maureen's book is that you can almost sense that she's still trying to be Marcia Brady. Which she doesn't deny. It's a character that was both a blessing and a curse. But it seems that she has finally embraced it. However, being that her past life is being atoned for, there is still something missing from this book. Because you tell the truth, doesn't mean you bend it to save some from embarrassment. It leaves a lot of readers who go for these types of read feeling empty. The behind the scenes stuff seem to gloss over other details of the Brady Bunch lore. And I think that is to be expected, since she can only report what she was privy to. What is strange, though, is that ...

  • A very interesting and informative book.

I was about eleven years old when The Brady Bunch first came to television. I watched it through my teen years. It helped me realize I wanted to live an honest, and clean life of integrity. Maureen McCormick seemed very genuine and truthful about her life. I believe her life story could help anyone who is young and watches the show to see the contrast between Marcia's decisions and some of Maureen's decisions.

  • Here's the story is a great "get to know" book.

I don't really remember reading a lot of negative press about child stars back when the Brady Bunch was on. I had no idea that Maureen McCormick went through all she did. I wasn't interested in reading this book until I saw her on "The Today Show". When I realized how open and honest she was, I thought that I would like to read about the trials and tribulations of being a Brady. What I got in this book was so much more. It didn't just tell about Marcia but Maureen. It was wonderful. I am so proud of the person she has become. I feel like I know her (and the rest of the Bradys) as people. This was a great book and well worth the cost.
