My daughter told me about Dr. Allen's book last year, she and her friends swears by it so I decided to purchase it. Boy did I learn! I have a better understanding of a relationship between two people. I learned we can't have it all. We have to decide what we want most. We have to give up some of our demands to get want we truly want. When we start a relationship, we know there are two people in it but in reality there are four personalities and all four wants to be satisfied. Dr Allen goes on to explain the differences and what can or can not be done to satisfy these different personalities. She explains the type of companion that appeals to an individual. She explains that some women want to accomplish the same goals as men; such as power, money and stauts, but still desire family life (love, husband and children)while the traditional women (homemakers) want love, husband and children but desire a husband to accomplish power, money and status. She explains that these two different women would not seek the same man and visa versa for the man. She explains why it is best for women not to have sex within the first three months of a relationship, what to expect every three months for the first year. This book is great at breaking down the complementary features of masculine and feminine energies. A must read for people in relationships, especially for those who identify with the opposite energy (masculine energy women and feminine energy men).
