About this product

Product Information

Translated by PEN translation award-winner Joachim Neugroschel, The Metamorphosis, In the Penal Colony, and Other Stories has garnered critical acclaim and is widely recognized as the preeminent English-language anthology of Kafka's stories. These translations illuminate one of this century's most controversial writers and have made Kafka's work accessible to a whole new generation. This classic collection of forty-one great short works -- including such timeless pieces of modern fiction as "The Judgment" and "The Stoker" -- now includes two new stories, "First Sorrow" and "The Hunger Artist."

The book is brand new, just as described. The price was reasonable. Shipping was fast, and tracking was provided. Unlike other sellers who REFUSE to leave feedback unless the buyer leaves feedback first, this seller left feedback immediately upon payment. THIS is how it should be. EXCELLENT transaction! Thank you very much.

Item is just as described and in pristine condition. Packaged extremely well. Thank you!! I would buy from the seller again. But be aware, processing and shipping is a lengthy process and you aren’t likely to get your item in under a week. But did arrive in the stated delivery window. Now, knowing that it will take time to arrive, this book was so clean and nice, I will buy from the seller again. Patience is a good skill to cultivate.

I bought this book for a German / Austrian Literature and Culture Class. I enjoyed reading "In The Penal Colony." It tended to be very explicit in details but it reinforced the idea of how some people may have been tortured and punished.
