I've had this style lever on my doors for about 10 years. The often used keyed outside doors started to have problems with the mechanisms and were difficult to unlock/lock and wouldn't latch smoothly. Still, I consider a 10 year life span ok and ordered a couple more replacements. They are very easy to install and the reversible handles makes one model fit all applications.
