Thought-provoking and easy to correspond the facts to today's market.

After having seen this book published in a number of articles as recommended reading for individuals interested in investment, I was intrigued to read it. The author Peter Lynch does an amazing job of opening up your though process that anyone with a devoted interest in investments can accomplish a goal they set. Taking you on a journey of his own unique path that lead him from being a young golf course caddy to becoming a highly respected fund manager. Repeatedly Mr. Lynch reminds the reader that the markets are unpredictable and emphasizes that regardless if the markets are bearish or bullish focus on purchasing the right stock is the most important aspect of investing. I found the book to be a highly important read as Mr. Lynch not only reflects on his winning investments, but also ...

  • KISS Investing - Keep It Simple Stupid!

This is the first book I read on investing - and still the best. I bought this copy for my daughter who went to work with a liberal arts degree (and no knowledge of investing) for a small, home town investment firm that wants to train her to be a broker. I successfully invested in good times (much of the 90's ) and bad times (late 90's to early 2000's) with Peter Lynch's great advice. His brilliance is that he demystifies investing, breaking down several simple basics for investing in stocks, with paticualr attention on how to evaulate the basics of a company. He also gives great beginner advice. For example, he advises before investing in stocks that any investor pay off credit card bills and buy a home because the return and risk/reward are better than investing in stocks. HIs ...

  • Great Book From investment Master

Book is a little dated but the concepts are current. Average investors are better than they realize.

  • A must read for Fundamental Investors

If you haven't read this book, I am recommending you to get it now. This is one of the three best investment books in my opinion (the other two are Ben Graham's "The Intelligent Ivestors", and Philip Fisher's "Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits"). Out if these three, this one is my favorite. Peter Lynch gives you all his experience in this book (also in his other book, "Beating the Street" which is also a good addition). All you need to know about the stock market and how to go about and reaseach all the companies. He gives practical example (from his experience) of each of the theories that he give which is what I like best. And the examples aren't outdated yet so the book is also very interesting to read. This book inspires me to change my way of researching companies and also becoming ...

  • Peter Lynch very informative and educational.

What I liked about this book is that it was a very easy read and very informative. Mr. Lynch and Rothchild gave me very good advice that I will apply to the stock market. Their advice has also helped me to feel more comfortable with making decisions on my stock portfolios. I will definitely refer this book to family and colleagues.
