love these little things
easy to use, easy to add/remove music. can operate easily while running or cycling. the on/off switch on my first one stopped working but i am willing to buy another one or two to replace the first. the old one still turns on, in fact that's the problem. it stays on even with it is in "off" position.

Convenient, fitting, and just plain simple!
I previously had an iPod Shuffle about 4 years ago. I sold it because I wanted to have an iPod with apps and a screen; little did I know that i would soon buy another ipod shuffle later on! I love having an iPod touch with a screen and everything, but I didn't want to work out with my ipod touch and ruin the screen with sweat. No matter how many different armbands i tried for my ipod touch to work out in, I still wanted an ipod shuffle: ipod shuffle is so convenient because you can clip on anywhere! then you dont have to worry about getting sweat on a screen and ruining it, its not bulky, its perfect for anyone who wants an ipod to just work out with or take to the beach an not worry about ruining the screen. 2nd Gen Refurbished Shuffle
Searched out the 2nd Generation because reviews of the new 3rd gen where not great and I thought I would not like the controls being on the earbud cord. Have been using this 2nd for long runs and love it. It is much smaller than my nano. Just clip it on my running skort and hit the road, no arm band needed. Controls are easy to navigate and simple. No screen with song titles, but not needed while working out. Can shuffle the songs or play in order. Can fast forward or rewind. I just put it on shuffle and go. The one drawback that I have found is that it has on on/off switch. If I forget to turn it off the battery will run down faster. But, it is easy to charge. Completely industructable long battery!
I love the 2nd Gen IPOD shuffle. These things are indestructible. Lets put it this way I have washed and dried my old one twice. It fell off of my motorcycle jacket going 35 MPH. My friend's always say if a device can last a year with me then it is darned good device because I am hard on electronics. I usually only have to charge once a week. That is with daily driving on the bike. I love that it clips to my jacket right next to my helmet and integrated speakers. The buttons are easy to use even with gloves on while riding. I can't look down while riding so this is a plus to me. There is no way I would get a 3rd gen due to the fact of it not working with my helmet speakers. Of course I managed to lose to of these babies on day! I didn't see the one fall off of my jacket and the zipper on ... I love the 2nd Gen IPOD shuffle. These things are indestructible.
