Product Information

Good Times, which ran on CBS-TV from 1974-1979, was a spin-off of the All In the Family spin-off, Maude. The series details the trials and tribulations of Florida Evans (who previously had worked as Maude's maid) and her family on the south side of Chicago. Florida (Esther Rolle) and her husband James (John Amos) are lower-middle class African-Americans living in a high rise housing project with their three children--wisecracking J.J. (Jimmy Walker, whose "Dy-No-Mite" became a national catchphrase), Thelma (Ja'Net DuBois), and Michael (Ralph Carter). James has trouble finding steady work, but through it all, the family sticks together. Veering between comedy and drama, Good Times was a landmark in U.S. television. This collection includes all 23 episodes from the third season.

    good times Dynomite!!!!!!!!!

    Good times was a all time favorite series one of the reasons why its the best seasons because this was the last season of james Sr. I am 12 years old by the way and I am a supremes fan and wilona, thelma ,and florida did a memorable of stop in the name of love. It was funny and just right for the show. there is no episode that is not entertaining good season good show. All of them are entertaining by the way.

    Good Times are not always good days.

    This ground breaking television show was among the first to feature an all African American cast. Based in an urban center in the city of Chicago, we follow the lives of the Evans family as they survive from day to day in the ghetto. There are happy moments to be sure but, we still find a hard working black man trying to provide a better life for his family.

    Good Times

    There is nothing like vintage sitcoms. Ya some new ones a good but the old ones are great! It brings you back to that time in your life when the were a regular night sitcom. Not so much violence , sex, ect. Clean comedy.
