About this product

Product Information

Those building blocks which everyone plays with when they're children now come to the PC with LEGO Racers, one in a series of games featuring the versatile building blocks. <br><br>In this game players use cars made from LEGO blocks and race them around tracks. In the beginning there are four tracks to choose from and more become available as the player wins circuits. There are also just four racers to choose from initially, with more becoming unlocked as the game progresses. A circuit is made up of four races on four different tracks.<br><br>During the race, the player has several weapons at his disposal, from maneuvers such as power sliding and super sliding to power ups which shield the car, boost its speed momentarily, or throw objects or hazards at the other cars. A course map gives the car's position relative to the others and a timer shows how long it takes to complete each lap.<br><br>At the end of each race points are awarded based on the finish; at least ten points, or a third place finish, are necessary to continue with the current circuit. Taking first in the overall circuit unlocks more tracks, cars and characters to choose from. Pieces from different car sets can be mingled to make brand new cars, just like more tangible LEGO sets.<br><br>The player can also customize their driver, make a license for him, and build a car by selecting which bricks to use. How the car is built, however, will affect its performance on the track. It can be taken out for a test spin on the practice track before putting it into a circuit.<br><br>In addition to the traditional races, players can also choose from a timed race against the great Veronica Voltage or a versus race against a friend.

    Awesome Game!!!

    I love Lego racers because it is so fun to race and battle at the same time. If you weren't battleing as you were racing, it would be really hard to get ahead of other cars. I like trying to find the shortcuts, and its really cool that none of the other cars ever take them so you have an advantage if you know where they are. I like the fact that they have so many different races. You could be playing for years if you were trying to win them all at least once. It's very challenging but not ridiculous or impossible. I think everyone should have a try at it. It makes it especially fun when you have your own Legos, or you just love Legos. My brother makes his own racers out of real Legos. It's really cool that you get to design your own race cars. I love Lego Racers!!!!

    Great Game!

    This is such a sweet game! I bought this game a couple of years ago,and I am still not tired of it! I love this game! I you like shooting missles, rockets and bombs, get this game! If you like peeling rubber around corners, get this game! If you like a great game with good graphics and gameplay, get this game!!!

    Awesome!

    This is another of my favorites. It's great for all ages, and absurdly fun! Two controllers are a must to get the full experience. There's nothing better than going head to head against your pal with a self made Lego racer! TIPS: • If you hit the gas exactly when the countdown timer strikes zero, you take of waaaaaay faster! • Gather only the same color Legos to multiply their power!

    Mario Kart meets Legoland

    If you're a LEGO Maniac who also happens to like the kooky racing action of games like the original Mario Kart, then this is a perfect game. It's also nice that it's available for a wider array of system platforms, including the frequently forgotten PC.

    great product! my son loves it!

    I bought this product because my son is a fan of lego. He loves to play with lego and retro items such as this one. In addition the product is in great condition and can be used as a teaching tool as well. It is an older version of games of today but the simplicity makes it useful for younger children with disabilities.
