Great but not for 1911s smaller than 5" barrel...
These have people who are fans and those who aren't. They should only be installed on 5" (Government size) guns. They cause problems on 1911s any less than 5" barrel. Users of the 1911 are best served using this Shok-Buff to protect the 1911 frame. The constant pounding of hard-hitting .45 ACP rounds do damage downrange and impact the frame itself.
