    Excellent - Volvo S80 Power Steering Noise Fix

    This excellent replacement part fixes a known issue with the Volvo S80 power steering. If your power steering reservoir has been correctly filled and your power steering pump and serpentine belt are grandy and dandy, why is your power steering still noisy? This can happen because the paper-like filter built into these power steering fluid reservoirs can become blocked with debris over time. In the result, the power steering pump gets starved of fluid (even if the reservoir is full) because the filter inside the reservoir prevents a sufficient flow rate of power steering fluid (Dexron III) getting to the pump. The fix is to install this replacement reservoir which contains a built in filter. Done. Perfect quiet power steering again. Who knew. This is will solve it.

    Genuine Volvo part, does what it says on the tin

    I purchased this steering fluid reservoir from Parts Monster to replace an identical unit on my S60 which had suffered what I gather is a common fault with these - the inner pipe on the re-circ side of the system had snapped off and the fluid was frothing up in the reservoir. I replaced the suction hose to the pump at the same time. Direct swap, no modification or messing about required - very easy job even for an amateur like me. No more creaking and groaning steering, happy bunny!!

    Perfect fit.

    High quality product that took me 30 minutes too fit to my XC70. Its a direct replacement for the original one and involves removing two pipes to remove the old one. Can’t recommend this enough, no more leaking fluid and good positive steering.

    Great replacement tank.

    Perfect fit and replacement for the original tank. The gauge and quality of the plastic seems to be the same as the original, and the two "pipes" were the correct size for the hoses. Decent solid cap as well.
