I bought this book to start a deep dive into DirectX and I am getting everything I wanted out of it so far. This book really provides a great starting point for anyone ready to get into DirectX, and includes a great deal of additional training on related topics like vector math. The author also does a great job citing outside sources and recommending additional reading where necessary. Be prepared for a challenge, though. This is not a book for the faint of heart, but if you approach reading it like you would approach a college course, it will be a rewarding experience.
Am not sure the book covers the new libraries but that's a simple change in your using libraries directories i'd like to know if directx exists still as this was written before microsoft started using C# Unity instead of directx. Three stars because your library needs updating. three because if i bought it sooner i could have made a great game....This is something you should think about and is not necessarily a complaint...although it needs updating. IS NOT the seller's fault am not reviewing seller.
