Ok, first of all, if you're a fan of the advance wars series on GBA\DS and you've never heard of or played the daisenryaku series (mouthful, I know), then you may want to pull your gun out right now and shoot yourself in the foot just for missing out on this stellar long-running series. With over 400(!) units, easily as many stages as the latest AW game, and the ability to destroy enemy cities, bridges, bases, etc. and rebuild them as your own, this is a much deeper strategy game than AW or really any contemporary turn-based strategy game. Throw in some RPG elements (each unit gains experience and new weapon payloads) and you have a near perfect game. Near perfect, as it does have some flaws. The sound and graphical presentation can seem absolutely archaic for an x-box game at times, and I suggest turning the battle animation off unless you like watching cardboard cut-outs shoot at each other. I'm not joking, it's that bad. On a side note however: This is one of only 2 games in the daisenryaku series to be localized in the U.S., the other being Iron Storm (World Advanced Daisenryaku in Japan) for Sega Saturn. If you are one of the few out there who still has that system, I suggest you skip this game entirely for Iron Storm, which, as good as this game is, is about a million times better, with more units, watchable battle animations, and the ability to actually change world history depending on which WW2 era nation you choose to play as. If you're reading this, buy that game. If you dont have a saturn, buy one to play it, it's that good.Read full review
I am on stage 13 of 26 right now. The AI could be a lot harder IMHOP. This is similar to Panzer General...with the Strategy Turn based hexagon set up. The weapons are cool and detailed with all modern weapons of Isreal, US, Germany, Japan, China, France and Russia. I definately prefer Command and Conquer but they don't have it on XBOX. This is the only strategy/military game I found for XBOX. It is actually very fun and quite adictive. Haven't found a partner for 2-4 player(Head to Head), but I bet it would be AWESOME! Does anyone remember Herzog Zwei for the Sega Genesis that came out between 1989-1990. That game was super cool.
The best turn based military game ever

Turn based strategy games such as this are far and few between on consoles. And finding one that's actually good is a whole other thing. It might seem complicated at first, but once you figure things out you can end up sitting for hours playing one match. Add in some friends, and you've turned this into a great couch coop/competitive experience.

Good condition. Has the type of strategic gameplay I enjoy.
